Masterclass with Colin Dunne

Traditional Dance Forum of Scotland

Part of The Art of Treepling Weekend culminating the First Footing
Residency.

In this masterclass, Colin will draw upon his unique approach to
traditional Irish dance, focusing on release of muscular tension to find
a flow, rhythm and clarity in both movement and sound.

Dancers should have some percussive dance experience.

Colin Dunne is a leading figure in the world of traditional Irish dance,
perhaps best known internationally for his performances and choreography
in Riverdance and Dancing on Dangerous Ground. His first solo show Out
of Time was nominated for a UK Critics Circle National Dance Award (Best
Male Dancer), and a UK Laurence Olivier Award (Outstanding Achievement
in Dance).
