EIIF: Dummy

Edinburgh International Improv Festival

Blank Script presents the Edinburgh International Improv Festival (EIIF), Scotland’s first and only festival dedicated to improv. Across 4
days over 75 performers from across the globe will amaze with their
spontaneity, quick wit and ability to make you laugh your socks off.
Scenes, sketches, songs and stories will be made up on the spot from
audience suggestions.

Dummy is a two-person troupe performed by Colleen Doyle and Jason
Shotts, starting out at the iO Theater in Chicago. Residing in LA, they
perform all over the world from San Francisco to New York, London to
Rome, Copenhagen, Warsaw and everywhere in between. Dummy proudly won
the iO Chicago’s Del Award for Best Non-Harold Improv Show in 2013 and 2014 and are one of the best improv duos in the world.

‘Doyle and Shotts are the perfect complements to each other. They let
their scenes build in a really rich way, and they are both really good
at playing multiple characters at once… you should definitely go jump
out of an airplane with these two. Or maybe just go check out their
show.’ (Gapers Block, Comedy Seen: Five Great Comedy Shows of 2012)

World class improv teachers will also be delivering a full curriculum of
classes throughout the festival.
