EIIF: Improv Killed My Dog / EIIF Ensemble Team

Edinburgh International Improv Festival

Blank Script presents the Edinburgh International Improv Festival (EIIF), Scotland’s first and only festival dedicated to improv. Across 4
days over 75 performers from across the globe will amaze with their
spontaneity, quick wit and ability to make you laugh your socks off.
Scenes, sketches, songs and stories will be made up on the spot from
audience suggestions.

Troupes entertaining you for this hour:

Improv Killed My Dog

Remember the 80s detective programme Magnum PI? Well Gillian has seen it, but the rest of Improv Killed My Dog haven’t. But that won’t stop them doing an improvised episode of Magnum based on audience suggestions and what they’ve read on Wikipedia. Fresh from a successful Fringe run you’ll marvel as they take you to a time when men sported facial hair, there were tensions with Russia and a celebrity was in the White House. You know…the 1980s! Join them as Magnum, Higgins and err… those other guys crack the case.

EIIF Ensemble Team

What happens when 8 strangers that have never met each other come together due to their love of improv? The EIIF Ensemble Team will have performers from around the world bring their unique skills to one troupe. After being coached by Showstopper!’s Susan Harrison, this ragtag bunch will conquer not only the stage… but also our hearts.

World class improv teachers will also be delivering a full curriculum of
classes throughout the festival.
